Jack has been an educator for the past 25 years in urban, suburban, and very rural locales as a teacher, literacy coordinator, university instructor and content specialist. He currently resides in his remote, hand-built cabin in Excursion Inlet near the southeastern border of Glacier Bay National Park in Southeast Alaska.

His poetry has appeared in Main Channel Voices, Ice-Floe, Inside Passages, Explorations, Tidal Echoes, Fish Alaska Magazine, and Cirque.
